A few weeks back I helped to shoot an event at Saint Mary's Basilica in down town Phoenix for the 800 year anniversary of the Crosier's

I had taken up a position up in the back balcony of the Basilica with my trusty D700 and my Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 lens to get all the action below and while I was waiting for things to get started snapped this image of the towering pillars making there way from front to back.

It was a challenging event that day shooting at 1600 ISO and wide open aperture but ended up with some good images.
